Media library

Upload and manage reusable images, videos, documents, and 3D models for your store.

The Media library stores files you can reuse across products and other store content. Media-library files and Site assets are separate file groups, but both count toward the same store storage quota.

Upload files
  1. Open Media in your store admin.

  2. Select Upload and choose one or more files.

  3. Review any rejected files. Files that pass validation appear in the library immediately.

The supported formats, per-file size limits, and maximum batch size come from your store at runtime. Images, videos, documents, and 3D models have different limits. A batch can contain both successful and rejected files, so check every result before retrying failures.

View and edit file details

Open a file to preview it and review its size, dimensions, and format. You can change its display filename and alt text. Alt text describes an image for people using assistive technology. Changing these details does not replace the underlying file.

Generate an image with AI

Where your permissions and plan allow it, you can generate a new image from a text prompt and choose one of the available aspect ratios. Generation uses the credit amount shown before you start. A successful result is saved as a new file and counts toward storage. A failed generation is refunded automatically.

Delete files safely

A file with no references can be deleted immediately. If removable references exist, Tringify shows a warning and asks for confirmation before detaching them and deleting the file. A blocked reference cannot be overridden; remove it from the resource that requires the file first. Bulk deletion applies the same checks to the whole selection.

Permissions and activity

Files permissions control access to the Media library. AI image generation is separately gated. Uploads, metadata updates, deletions, and successful AI generations are recorded with the acting user or app.
