Storefront visibility makes a definition available to themes, Storefront GraphQL, and hosted storefront context. Hidden definitions remain available to authorized admin and app callers but are never exposed to shoppers.
Searchable text contributes to storefront search in each language. For a Brand or Vendor, supported text and select values can make that resource match a search; this does not create a filter on Brand or Vendor pages. Filterable definitions are available only for products and variants, where supported select, true or false, integer, and decimal values can become structured storefront filters. Changing either capability queues the affected resources for reindexing.
Translatable text stores a localized value for each enabled language. Select metafields translate the labels shoppers see while their stored choice keys remain stable. Missing translations fall back to the original value.
