Make a field available to the storefront
Turn on storefront access when your theme needs the value. This makes the data available to your theme; it does not automatically add it to a page. Your theme must choose where and how to display it.
Include values in search
Supported text and choice fields can be searchable. A shopper's search can then match that custom information, such as a product material or a vendor specialty. Search uses the translated value when one is available for the shopper's language.
Use values as product filters
Eligible product and variant fields can be used as storefront filters. Choices, true or false values, and supported numbers work well for facts such as material, waterproof, capacity, or size. After making the definition filterable, add it from Products > Filters and choose the label shoppers will see.
Translate text and choices
Supported text values can have a translation for each enabled store language. Choice fields translate the labels shoppers see without changing which choice is saved. When a translation is missing, the original value is used.
