General settings hold your store's basic information and regional preferences. You'll find them in Settings → General on the web admin and in the mobile apps.
What lives here
Store name — how your store is called across the admin, your storefront, and emails. Store country — your store's home country, used to suggest matching regional defaults. Timezone — the clock used for order timestamps, scheduled posts, and reports. Number format — how prices and numbers are displayed in your admin. Base currency — the currency your catalog is priced in.
Base currency
The base currency is chosen when the store is created and cannot be changed afterwards. Enable additional currencies in Settings → Currencies, then assign them to countries in your markets.
