Use Import reviews in Store Admin to move historical product reviews from another platform. Export reviews downloads a CSV copy of your current reviews. These actions are available on the web; the Tringify mobile app manages existing reviews and settings.
Prepare an import
Open Reviews and choose Import reviews.
Download the template or prepare a CSV. The required columns are sku, rating (a whole number from 1 to 5), and content. Optional columns are title, reviewer_name, reviewer_email, status (approved or pending), verified (true or false), created_at (an ISO 8601 date and time, such as 2024-05-01T10:00:00Z), external_source, and external_id. Use a product SKU or variant SKU; a variant SKU attaches the review to its parent product.
Preview the file. Fix any row errors and check each review before starting the import.
Start the import and follow its progress under View jobs.
Imported reviews are pending unless status is approved. While reviews are on, an approved import appears on your storefront without another approval. The verified column is a claim from your previous platform; Tringify does not check imported reviews against Tringify orders. Mark a row verified only when you can substantiate that purchase. Photos are not imported by this CSV.
To avoid importing the same historical review twice, include stable external_source and external_id values. Re-importing the same pair skips that review; this workflow does not edit an existing review.
Export reviews
Open Reviews and choose Export reviews.
Open View jobs to follow the export and download the finished CSV.
The export includes review content, reviewer details, status, the verified flag, and read-only moderation and vote information. Handle the file as customer data. Exporting does not change your reviews.
