Open Online Store > Search in Store Admin or the Tringify app. These settings apply to your store's search behavior. Your theme controls the appearance and placement of the search box.
Search and suggestions
Enable storefront search to let shoppers search your store. Enable predictive search to show suggestions as they type. Turning off predictive search leaves submitted searches available while storefront search remains enabled.
Search query history
Detailed storefront search history is retained for 90 days. Older entries are automatically deleted.
This period applies to individual search entries. Search summaries in Analytics use their own available date ranges.
Choose search results
Choose the content types to include, then save. If someone changes these settings while you are editing, reopen them and review the current choices before saving. A product must be active, available on the shopper's sales channel, and eligible to appear in listings before it can appear in product suggestions.
Rebuild the search index
If recent content changes are missing from search, choose Rebuild search index. The rebuild runs in the background. Open the job history to check its progress and result. Only one rebuild can run for your store at a time. If a job fails, select its Failed status to see a support reference.
Equivalent search terms
Use Search Synonyms to group equivalent words or phrases for each store language. Synonyms help shoppers find matching content without changing its title or description. Follow Manage search synonyms to add or edit groups.
