Package profiles
Package profiles live in Settings > Package profiles. Each profile stores a name, outside dimensions, empty weight, and display units. They describe how goods may be packed; they do not calculate or change the shipping prices configured on a market.
You can keep up to 25 package profiles and 100 collection assignment rules. Names can contain up to 100 characters. Dimensions must be greater than zero; empty weight can be zero. Use at most three decimal places. Maximum dimensions are 10,000 mm, 1,000 cm, 10 m, 400 in or 33.333 ft. Maximum empty weights are 100,000 g, 100 kg, 3,528 oz or 220 lb. Choose the unit before entering a measurement. Saved measurements follow General display preferences.
Package assignment rules
Each product uses the first matching collection rule, reading the rules from top to bottom. Products with no matching rule use the default package. For a shipment containing different products, Tringify combines the largest length, width and height and the heaviest empty package. The displayed package name comes from the profile with the largest volume; the combined measurements may differ from that profile. This is a packing estimate, not a physical fitting calculation. Check that the quantities fit when packing.
What happens when an order is placed
After inventory routing creates one fulfillment order for each selected location, Tringify resolves one package for each fulfillment order. Every fulfillment order receives a permanent readable reference formed from the exact order number and its sequence, for example #1042-1 and #1042-2. The selected profile and its measurements are copied into immutable package and parcel snapshots on the order. If package profiles have not been configured, the fulfillment order is recorded as package unconfigured. If a package exists but product weight is unavailable, the package is still recorded and parcel weight is explicitly unresolved. Weight is required only when the selected shipping method is weight-based.
Routing and split shipments
Location Priority takes available stock from your highest-priority eligible locations first; it may split an order even when a lower-priority location can supply everything. Minimize Shipments tries to use fewer locations, preferring higher-priority locations when choices otherwise tie. Require one location selects the highest-priority eligible location that can supply every shippable item, with combined quantities for shared inventory groups. If none can, the order cannot use delivery under that policy.
Which setting owns what
Market Shipping owns the delivery option and customer-facing price. Fulfilment owns packing decisions, the inventory location, and whether an order may split.
