The number format controls how prices and numbers are displayed across your admin — the web admin and the mobile apps. It does not change how your storefront shows prices. A live preview at the bottom of the card shows the format as you change options.
Separators
The decimal separator splits whole units from fractions (10.99 vs 10,99). The thousands separator groups digits in large numbers (1,234,567) and can also be a space, an apostrophe, or none. The two separators must be different — the form won't save matching ones.
Grouping pattern
Standard grouping breaks digits in threes (1,234,567). Indian grouping uses the lakh/crore convention (12,34,567). This setting applies to presentation in the web admin and mobile apps.
Currency symbol
Choose whether the currency symbol appears before the amount ($100) or after it (100 $), and whether there's a space between the symbol and the amount.
Matching your country
When you change the store country, the admin offers to switch the number format to that country's convention in one click. You can always adjust the individual options afterwards.
