Each market has its own tax setup on the Tax tab. Five settings control the basics: whether tax is collected, whether catalog prices are entered with tax included, how storefront prices are displayed, which address decides the rate, and what happens to products without a tax class.
Collect tax
The master switch. When it is off, every order in this market is sold with zero tax — nothing is calculated and nothing appears at checkout. New markets start with it on.
Prices include tax
With tax-inclusive prices (common in the EU, UK, and Australia), the price a customer sees is the final price — the tax portion is carved out of it for your records. With tax-exclusive prices (common in the USA and Canada), tax is added on top at checkout. New markets start tax-exclusive.
Storefront price display
The display setting is separate from how catalog prices are entered. It can show prices as entered, estimate tax-inclusive prices, estimate tax-exclusive prices, or show both. Before checkout the estimate uses the shopper's resolved country; checkout recalculates from the complete address.
Which address taxes an order
The tax basis decides whether an order is taxed by its shipping address or its billing address. One rule to know: an order that contains nothing shippable — digital goods only — is always taxed at the billing address, because it has no shipping address at all. A shipping order that arrives without a shipping country is not taxed, and the order shows that no tax could be calculated.

- Change what you need and select Save at the top of the card.
On mobile
In the Tringify app, open Markets, choose the market, and then open Tax. Use General to manage the same five tax settings.
