A blog post is an article you publish on your store's blog, for example a product announcement, a guide, or company news. Each blog post has a title, a URL slug, rich text content, and an assigned blog author, and it can carry a featured image, an excerpt, and SEO fields for how it appears in search and previews.
Status and publishing
A blog post has one of four statuses: draft, scheduled, published, or archived. A draft is not visible to shoppers. Published makes it live on your storefront. Archived takes a post off the storefront while keeping it in your admin. Scheduled publishes the post automatically at a future time.
A scheduled blog post requires a publish date and time. If you set the status to scheduled without a publish date, the post is rejected until you add one. The time you enter is read in your store's timezone, and Tringify publishes the post automatically when that time arrives.
Categories and tags
Blog categories are the primary topic a blog post belongs to, and blog tags are flexible labels. A blog post can have several categories and several tags. Categories usually drive storefront sections and category pages; tags group posts across topics. You assign both while editing the blog post.
Comments
Shoppers can leave comments on a published blog post when your blog settings allow it. Blog settings decide whether everyone, only signed-in customers, or nobody can comment. When moderation is required, a new comment starts as pending and stays off the storefront until you approve it. When moderation is off, eligible comments appear immediately. You can still approve, mark as spam, or trash comments from the comments page.
Where posts appear
Published posts appear on your storefront blog and category pages. Shoppers can narrow blog listings by tag when the theme provides that filter. The featured image, excerpt, and SEO fields control how the blog post looks in listings, link previews, and search results.
Deleting blog posts
Deleting a blog post removes it from your storefront and admin. Deletion uses confirmation. You can also delete several posts at once from the posts list.
