A duty rule belongs to one country in a market. Duties must be enabled for the market, the country must be enabled for duties, and that country can have at most one rule.
De minimis
The de minimis threshold applies to imported merchandise after discounts. Domestic goods are excluded. Threshold precision follows the destination currency. No duty is estimated below the threshold; an equal value is not exempt. Amounts use the destination country’s assigned currency. Remove the rule before changing that currency, then recreate its amounts in the new currency.
Default and HS-code rates
Rates are matched by the product’s country of origin. Tringify first uses that origin’s most specific matching HS-code rate, then its default rate. If neither exists, it checks All foreign origins in the same order. Goods originating in the destination country are excluded.
Three rate shapes
Ad valorem charges a percentage of the merchandise value. Specific charges a fixed amount per kilogram or per unit. Compound combines both. Choose the type, then fill in the fields shown. Tariff amounts per unit or kilogram retain up to four decimals, including fractions of a currency minor unit. Calculated duties are rounded at the currency precision and allocated so line duties sum exactly to the total.
