How do I start?
In Settings > Domains, add your root domain, such as example.com, and choose Manage DNS with Tringify. Open it in DNS managed by Tringify. Records, nameservers and connection actions are on the same page. Your domain registration stays with your registrar.
How do I bring across my existing records?
Choose Find existing records, then compare the results with your current provider. A search may miss records, especially email, verification and other services. Use Add record or Edit to fill in anything missing. These forms open over the record list.
You can stop a search and keep the records it already found. If an operation fails, use Retry when offered. Adding a domain here does not change its current nameservers.
When should I change nameservers?
Once your records are complete, choose Connect storefront, read the confirmation and enter the domain name. Tringify prepares the storefront records and keeps email and unrelated records.
The nameservers appear on this page after that finishes. At your registrar, replace the current nameservers with both shown. If DNSSEC is enabled, remove the old DS record before the change. Keep your old DNS setup until the new connection works.
When can customers use the address?
After the nameserver change, select Check connection. The address is ready when it shows Connected, which includes HTTPS. Assign it to a storefront in Online Store > Domains.
Connect each address you want to use, such as example.com and www.example.com. Assign both to the same storefront and choose one as primary; the other redirects to it when ready.
Can I cancel an unfinished setup or remove the domain?
Yes. Open More actions > Remove, or remove the domain in Settings > Domains. Removing the root also removes its DNS setup. An unused setup can be removed without disconnecting an independently connected www address.
If the domain already uses Tringify nameservers, first copy its records to another provider and change nameservers at your registrar. Follow any storefront or email instructions shown, then confirm removal. This does not cancel your domain registration.
