Create a category when products need a structured storefront grouping. Names must be unique under the same parent, and slugs must be unique across the store.
On the web
In your store admin, go to Catalog > Categories.
Select Add category.
Enter the category name. Leave the Slug blank to generate it from the name, or set your own.
Choose a parent category to make this a subcategory, or leave Parent Category empty to keep it at the top level.
Optionally choose a category image from your media library.
Optionally add a description, SEO details, and a category page template.
Save the category, then assign products to it.
On mobile
Open the Tringify app and go to Categories.
Tap the add button.
Enter the category name and optionally choose a parent category. The Slug is generated from the name unless you set your own.
