Create a category when products need a structured storefront grouping. Category names must be unique under the same parent, while Slugs must be unique across the whole store.
On the web
- In your store admin, go to Products > Categories.
- Select Add category.
- Enter the category name. Leave the Slug blank to generate it from the name, or set your own.
- Choose a parent category to make this a subcategory, or leave Parent Category empty to keep it at the top level.
- Optionally choose a category image from your media library.
- Optionally add description, SEO, image, and template details for the category page.
- Save the category, then assign products to it.
On mobile
- Open the Tringify app and go to Categories.
- Tap the add button.
- Enter the category name and optionally choose a parent category. The Slug is generated from the name unless you set your own.
- Save the category.
