A Gift Card is stored value in one currency. Customers can redeem an active card at checkout when Gift Cards are enabled for the store. The remaining balance stays on the same card until it is depleted, expires, or is cancelled.
Gift Card products
A Gift Card product is a catalog product whose paid order items issue cards. Its selling price becomes the initial card value. Product publishing and availability follow the same sales-channel rules as other products.
Codes and balances
The complete Gift Card code is shown once after manual issuance or sent to the delivery destination for a paid order. Store Admin shows only the last four characters. Cancelling a card permanently revokes its remaining balance; disabling it pauses redemption without removing the balance.
