Find the right inventory view
Open Inventory > Product Stock to search simple products, variants, and inventory groups. Filter by item type, location, or low stock. Open Current commitments to see the orders holding stock right now, then Commitment history to see holds, releases, and fulfillment over time.
An Inventory Group has Group Details, Stock levels, Stock History, Commitments, Products, and Variants tabs. Swipe the tab strip on a phone to reach the later tabs. Products and Variants show which items share that stock pool.
Product editors also show inventory. For a variant, open its editor and choose Inventory. Review the location balances or shared group, then open Inventory > Product Stock for its commitments.
On hand, held, and available
On hand is the physical count recorded at a location. Held is stock that can't be sold and has three parts: Checkout held is waiting for shoppers to finish paying online, Committed is promised to placed orders that haven't shipped, and In transfers is set aside for transfers between locations. Available equals on hand minus held. For example, 20 on hand and 5 held leaves 15 available. Available never goes below zero, so stock can't be oversold.
In the inventory groups list, Available counts only active locations that fulfill online orders: it is what can be sold online. Filter the list by a location to see that location's own numbers.
Changing stock
Enter whole numbers. On hand cannot be lower than held stock. Use Adjust to add or subtract units received, returned, damaged, lost, or corrected. Use Set Stock after counting physical stock. Set Stock only applies if on hand still matches the quantity you saw; if another stock change makes your count out of date, nothing is changed, so reload and review the latest quantity before trying again. Stock can't be changed at an archived location; restore it first. You can still correct or zero stock at an inactive location before archiving it.
Bulk changes and scanner batches apply together: if one row cannot be applied, none of them are, and the message names the row to fix. A batch can include up to 100 rows. Retrying a change after a lost connection is safe; Tringify recognises the retry and does not apply it twice.
Stock history shows physical changes, the resulting quantity, reason, location, and who made the change. Commitment history shows changes to held stock, which can leave on hand unchanged.
Low-stock alerts
An item is low when available stock is at or below its threshold. Review the item, location, available quantity, threshold, and deficit in Low Stock Alerts. Overall alerts cover the item across locations; per-location alerts cover one location. A threshold alerts you but does not prevent sales.
You are alerted when an item reaches its threshold. While it stays at or below the threshold, the alert is repeated only after a waiting period. Once available stock rises above the threshold, the next drop alerts you again straight away.
