A location is a place that can hold inventory or fulfill orders, for example a warehouse, retail store, or pickup point. Use locations to control online fulfillment, pickup availability, local delivery, and inventory routing.
Where locations appear
Locations appear in inventory, transfers, fulfillment priority, pickup settings, local delivery settings, and any integration that needs to know where stock or fulfillment work belongs.
Creating and managing locations
Create locations from Inventory > Locations, set whether they fulfill online orders, pickup, or local delivery, and keep the address and phone number accurate for operational workflows.
Deleting locations
You can't delete the primary location, the last online-fulfilling location, or a location that still has inventory or active transfers. Locations managed by an app are read-only in Store Admin; the owning app manages them through the Locations API using the same safety checks.
