Account credit is a balance in your billing currency that pays your Tringify invoices before autopay or a payment link is used. Open Billing > Account credit to see your balance, each credit in Credit balances, your History, and your Credit purchases.
Kinds of credit
Promotional credit is given by Tringify. It is applied before tax, so it also lowers the tax on your invoice. Promotional credit expires 12 months after it is added, and Account credit shows the next expiry date. It cannot be refunded.
Paid credit is credit you buy with Add credit. Applicable tax is shown when you buy it, so tax already paid on the credit is not collected again when the credit is used. Paid credit never expires, and you can request a refund of unused paid credit until the deadline shown on it.
Credit notes record reductions to an invoiced charge and include the related tax. Where the invoice is still unpaid, the credit reduces its balance; any unused credit remains available for later invoices. Credit notes cannot be refunded from Account credit.
Which credit is used first
Promotional credit, before tax. The credit that expires soonest is used first.
Credit notes, oldest first.
Paid credit, oldest first. Each amount of paid credit also settles the tax you already paid on it.
Anything still due is collected by autopay or paid with Pay now.
Each invoice shows how much of each kind was used. History lists every change: Added, Used on invoice, Returned, Expired, Refunded, and Withdrawn. Returned credit comes back when an invoice it was used on is voided.
Add credit
Open Billing > Account credit and choose Add credit.
Enter an amount in your billing currency. The form shows the smallest and largest amount you can add; for stores billed in INR it is ₹500 to ₹10,00,000.
Choose Continue to payment and pay on the secure payment page.
The credit is added once the payment is confirmed. You receive a tax invoice for the payment.
For stores billed in India, GST at 18% is added at checkout and shown on the tax invoice. Other billing countries can have different tax treatment; review the rate, tax amount, and total shown before paying. Test stores cannot add credit.
Request a refund of paid credit
You can request a refund of unused paid credit until 30 November after the end of the financial year in which you bought it. The financial year runs from April to March, so credit bought in October 2026 can be refunded until 30 November 2027. Each paid credit shows Refundable until with its date.
Open Billing > Account credit.
In Credit balances, find the paid credit and choose Request refund.
Enter the amount, up to the unused amount shown, and an optional reason.
Choose Request refund. A credit note is issued for the refund.
The refund goes back to the original payment method, including the tax allocated to the refunded amount on the original invoice. If the original payment can no longer be refunded online, our team transfers it to your bank account. After the deadline, the paid credit can no longer be refunded but stays available for your invoices.
