On the web
- In your store admin, go to Markets and open the market.
- Open the Tax tab and select the Classes section.
- Select New tax class, enter a name (and optionally a slug and description), and save.
- To make a class the default, edit it and turn on the default switch.
Creating in bulk
Bulk create takes one class per line, with an optional description after a | separator. The box shows how many lines you've entered against the market's remaining capacity and refuses a batch that wouldn't fit; any line that fails shows its own reason.
Deleting a class
Deleting a tax class also removes its rates, its product and variant assignments, and any price rules built on it. When a class still has any of those, the dashboard asks you to confirm and lists what goes with it. The default class can't be deleted — make another class the default first. Products left without a class follow the "apply default tax class" setting.
On mobile
In the Tringify app, open Markets, choose the market, and then go to Tax > Classes. You can create, edit, set the default, bulk add, and delete tax classes.
