Store policies are the legal and informational documents your storefront publishes. Your store has a fixed set of five: a privacy policy, terms of service, a refund policy, a shipping policy, and a cookie policy. Each is a single document per store.
You edit policies, you do not create them
Unlike most content, you cannot create a new policy or delete an existing one. The five policies always exist for every store with a default title and URL slug; you edit their content and publishing status.
Status
Each policy has one of two statuses: draft or published. A draft policy is saved but not shown on your storefront. Published makes the policy live at its URL. When the consent banner is active, its privacy and cookie policies must remain published; disable the banner before unpublishing either one.
Slug and redirects
Each policy has a URL slug with a sensible default per type — for example the privacy policy defaults to privacy-policy and the terms of service to terms-of-service. If you change a policy's slug, Tringify can automatically create a redirect from the old URL to the new one so existing links keep working; this redirect is on by default for that save. If you clear the slug, it resets to that policy type's default.
SEO
Each policy has an optional SEO title and SEO description that control how it appears in search results and link previews, separate from the on-page title and content.
Custom data
Store policies do not support metafields. Their structure is intentionally limited to the five fixed policy documents, their content, publishing status, URL, SEO fields, and translations.
