A file in your library can be attached to many places at once. A brand logo, a product's gallery images, and a storefront banner can all point at library files. Because files are shared, understanding where a file is used matters before you change or remove it.
Common places files appear
- Brand images — the logo or image shown for a brand.
- Product images — the photos in a product's gallery.
- Storefront content — banners and images placed in your online store.
- Documents — files you attach for reference or download.
Reusing one file in many places
Assigning a file somewhere does not copy it. Every place that uses the file points at the same library item, so updating the file is not needed to keep those places in sync — they already share it. This also means a file can be safely used in as many places as you like.
