An online payment discount is tied to one connected payment provider. You can add one fixed or percentage discount for each provider and turn it off without deleting it.
Discount basis
The percentage is not taken from the checkout total. It applies only to merchandise left after all earlier product and order discounts. Shipping, checkout fees, cash on delivery, tax, and duties are excluded.
Tax and duties
Tringify splits the discount proportionally across the remaining merchandise lines, then recalculates item tax and value-based duties from those lower line values. Shipping, fixed duties, checkout fees, cash-on-delivery charges, and their taxes do not receive this discount.
Example
If a 1,382 total contains 1,200 of discounted merchandise, 100 of shipping, and 82 of tax, a 5% online payment discount is 60, not 69.10. Merchandise becomes 1,140. The final total is 1,140 plus shipping and the recalculated tax, duties, and fees.
