About inventory groups

How inventory groups share stock across products and variants.

An inventory group is a shared stock pool. Use inventory groups when several products or variants should draw from the same quantity, for example printed blanks, bundles, or made-to-order products that share one physical stock count.

Where inventory groups appear

Inventory groups appear in product inventory settings, stock levels, stock history, transfers, low-stock alerts, import and export jobs, and inventory webhooks. Quantity lives on group-location stock rows; the group itself carries identity, SKU, and overall low-stock threshold.

Creating and managing inventory groups

Create inventory groups from Inventory > Inventory Groups, set name, SKU, optional slug, and an optional overall low-stock threshold. Then open the group to add stock at locations and manage quantities.

Deleting inventory groups

Deleting an inventory group is blocked while products, variants, or active transfers reference it. Remove those links or complete/cancel transfers first, then delete it.
