Local pickup lets a customer choose one of your locations and collect the order there instead of having it delivered. Pickup is free, and the order is taxed at the location's address.
Turn on pickup at a location
Open Catalog > Locations, open the location, and select Offer pickup at this location. Only active locations you manage yourself can offer pickup; a location run by a fulfillment app can't.
A location can offer pickup without shipping orders: turn off Ships online orders and keep Offer pickup at this location on. It then holds stock only for pickup orders.
Set Usually ready in to tell customers how long you take to prepare a pickup order: 1 hour, 2 hours, 4 hours, 24 hours, or 2–4 days. Add Pickup instructions and Pickup hours if customers need them. Use Translate on the location to add the name, instructions, and hours in your other store languages.
Which customers see a location
A location is offered for pickup only to customers shopping in a market that includes the location's country. If a customer switches to a market that doesn't include it, their cart goes back to delivery.
How customers shop for pickup
In your online store, customers choose Delivery or Pickup and, for pickup, one location. The whole cart is either delivered or collected at that one location. In pickup mode, products show the stock at the chosen location only, and a cart line the location can't supply is marked unavailable. At checkout, a pickup order skips the shipping address and shipping method.
Customers can choose Delivery or Pickup only if your theme supports local pickup; the theme also decides where that choice appears.
Show only what a location stocks
By default, a customer shopping for pickup sees every product, and products the location doesn't stock are marked as not available there. To list only the products a location stocks, select Only show products this location stocks on the location. Products it stocks but has sold out still appear, as sold out, and products that don't track stock always appear. Customers always see which location they're shopping, with a note such as Showing products stocked at the location's name. Delivery shopping is never narrowed.
Stop offering pickup
When you turn pickup off, customers can no longer choose the location. Orders already placed for pickup there keep their pickup location and are fulfilled as usual.
