Checkout blocks add your own content to checkout: a short text note, a row of trust badges, or one question the shopper answers before paying. Each place in checkout holds one block. Blocks show in every checkout layout and display mode.

Add a block
Open Online Store > Checkout and choose Checkout blocks.
Under the place you want, add a text note, trust badges or (above pay) a question.
Write the text in each language your store sells in, and choose whether the block shows for delivery, pickup or both.
Save the block, switch on Show this block, check the preview, then publish.
Ask a question
A question sits above the pay button and is answered with the payment. It can be a short text answer (up to 500 characters; you set the limit) or a checkbox, and you choose whether it is required. A required question must be answered before the order can be placed.
Answers are saved on the order with the question and shown on the order in Store Admin and the app, in the Store API and in order webhooks. Nobody can change an answer once the order exists.
Trust badges
A badges block shows up to four short labels, each with an icon: secure payment, returns, shipping, support, quality or local. Keep each label to what your store actually offers.
Blocks from apps
Apps you install can add their own block to a free place in checkout, for example a loyalty app showing a shopper's points. An app's block appears in Checkout blocks with the app's name. Its wording is edited in the app; here you can switch it off or remove it. An app can never change your blocks or another app's, and its blocks are removed when you uninstall it.
Each place holds one block, whether yours or an app's. To use a place an app holds, remove the app's block first.
