A connected AI assistant can generate images for Media or Site assets and write missing alt text for your images. It pays with your store's AI credits, at the same prices as in Store Admin.
Allow it
When you connect the assistant, approve Image Generation together with edit access to Media or Site assets. The approval screen notes that the assistant can spend your store's AI credits. Only people who may use AI image features in Store Admin can approve it.
Apps you install can never spend your AI credits this way. Only your own connected tools and API tokens can.
What it costs
Before each image or alt text run, your assistant gets the price and must state the most it may spend. Tringify refuses a request that would cost more, and a retried request is never charged twice. Alt text is charged only for images it describes.
If your store has too few AI credits, nothing is charged and your assistant is told why. The store owner can buy more credits in Store Admin.
Review and stop
Images and alt text created through a connected tool appear in the activity log under the tool's name. To stop an assistant spending credits, disconnect it under Connected tools. A running alt text job can also be stopped from Media.
