Use Fake Pay for test payments

Connect the demo provider and understand payment checks, cancellation and refunds.

Fake Pay is a simulated payment provider. No real money moves, including when its account is labeled live mode. Use it on a test store to check checkout and wallet flows.

Install Tringify for Fake Pay, then open the app and save the secret key and publishable key from the same Fake Pay mode. Choose the business country. Saving verifies the keys and sets up signed notifications. Turn the connected provider on in Markets → Payments for each market that should offer it. Express wallet buttons also follow the store’s Express checkout preference.

Tringify checks each attempt directly with Fake Pay through the app. A missing notification or a shopper closing the browser does not decide the payment. If payment is still processing, wait for the order to update before trying to pay again. Returning to the store is navigation only. Already captured payments stay paid when cancellation is requested; extra or late captures are included in the payment checks.

Create refunds from the order in Tringify. The same refund request never creates a second provider refund, including when an answer was lost. Tringify checks the provider’s current refund status; pending means it is still being processed, refunded means it succeeded, and failed means Fake Pay refused or could not complete it. Check the order’s refund result before requesting a different refund.

Disconnecting or changing keys stops new charges through the old account. Retained credentials still support payment checks and refunds for earlier payments until the store-data erasure event after uninstall. Keep the provider key valid while those payments need service. The app can retain up to eight key pairs per store; if it reports the saved-account limit, contact support before connecting another.

The app’s payment-report attention list has been removed. Check payment and refund results in the order. A connection refresh failure is shown when saving credentials; saving again retries it. During an operator payment pause, status checks and verified provider notifications continue, while new charges, cancellations, new refunds and credential changes ask you to retry later.
