Besides the fonts Tringify offers, you can upload your own, such as the font from your brand guidelines, and use it in your theme and your checkout. Your fonts are shown only on your own store's domains.
Upload a font
In Store Admin, open Online Store, then Fonts.
Choose Upload font and pick a font file: WOFF2, WOFF, TTF or OTF, up to 2 MB.
Read the licence statement, tick I confirm the statement above, then upload the file.
Tringify checks every file and stores it in a format browsers load quickly. The font's name, weight and style are read from the file. To add the bold or italic of a font you already uploaded, choose Add style on that font. A store can have up to 20 fonts with up to 4 styles each.
Why we ask about the licence
Fonts are protected by copyright, and many font licences cover only desktop use, not websites. Before each upload you confirm that you own the font or hold a licence that allows you to use it on your website, and that you are responsible for that licence. Tringify keeps a record of each confirmation: who confirmed it, when and for which file. Tringify hosts the file only for your store and does not license fonts.
Some font files state that they may not be used on websites. Tringify can't accept those. Ask the font's maker for a web licence and a web version of the font.
Use your fonts
In the theme editor, open the theme settings and choose a font setting, such as the font for headings or body text. Your fonts appear under Your fonts, after the fonts from Tringify. In the checkout editor, choose one as the checkout font; your order confirmation and order status pages use it too.
Your fonts work in every theme of your store. Other websites can't use the files.
Rename or delete a font
In Fonts, choose Rename to change the name shown in the font pickers. You can delete a font that no theme and no checkout uses. If it's still selected somewhere, Tringify tells you where: choose another font there first, then delete it. Deleting removes the font's files; the record of your licence confirmation is kept.
Apps you build with a Store Admin API token and AI tools connected to your store can manage your fonts too. They must show you the licence statement and wait for your confirmation before each upload.
